Sloppy & crazed?
It seems as though if it's posted on the Internet, someone, somewhere will believe it:
The Pope is the Antichrist
Seems counterintuitive, huh? EXACTLY!!!
George W. Bush is the AntiChrist
A lot of folks would like to believe it; I find it rather odd that his father has gotten so chummy with my pick:
Bill Clinton is the Antichrist
Or maybe not. But if he manages to "somehow" become the next Secretary General of the United Nations? Hmmm...
Russian President Putin is the Antichrist
Now THIS guy shows real potential as a candidate, what with his pining for the halcyon days of the Soviet Union.
Prince Charles is the Antichrist
Wouldn't it be fitting if the Prince of Darkness is an actual prince? I think so.
Bill Gates is the Antichrist
Y'know...this possibility is a bit disconcerting. I mean, I am composing this little item on a computer, and you are most likely reading it on one. Yikes!!!
David Hasselhoff is the AntiChrist
Much like Jerry Lewis, he is revered in Europe. Perhaps he could parlay popularity into something sinister?!
Ricky Martin is the Antichrist
Oh, all right, probably not...

Ouch! Well then, I'm glad that I never pretend to be nice...
NEVER?
I must be screwed up, because you're always pretty nice to me!
LebenFrei, you're right, but I think the point that Jack was trying to make is that if there's anyone controversial out there, someone will label him the antiChrist. There are many antiChrists out there, according to the Bible definition, but the real deal has yet to pop his head up. He'll be popular; he'll bring an artificial peace to the world; he'll appear to survive a fatal injury. When he get's the bit in his teeth, however, he'll show his true nature. I hope not to be around for that!

Welcome aboard.
While always "trying to remain civilized", maintain decency and decorum, I do not claim to be nice.
(Others have said so about me, however, which I do appreciate)
The point of the piece is: just because something is posted on da 'Net, doesn't necessarily make it so...this calls for discernment.
camo,
We can't rule out George Bush as the Anti-Christ just yet. According to Daniel 7:24, the Anti-Christ "shall put down three kings (or kingdoms?)." So far, he's put down Afghanistan and Iraq. Syria, Iran or North Korea could be next. It would be a real long shot, but... one never knows, do one?
mig:
Right you are! Even though that other Bush was the one arrested for cocaine possession, the Left will always say it was the Prez...from now on.

Whenever someone says "you never know" to me, my response is that sometimes you do...

You mean like the...
Anti-Christian Litigators' Union?!
They've gotten PRETTY bad.
Kook theories abound. You gotta love it. I wonder why unworthy 1 and greg didn't descend upon this post and hijack the thread?
Pat'sRick:
Perhaps they never clicked on mon "Nom de 'Net"?

Who the heck is Ricky Martin?
Hee hee! Well, you could always Google for the answer, but he's a singer...or possibly the Devil Incarnate?
(But it's rather doubtful...)
David Haslehoff? Bwhaahahaaahahaha!
Now, Ricky Martin, on the other hand.....

Well, I was riding my other bike (the one I have to pedal) along the C. & O. Canal Towpath over the weekend...so a new post had to wait 'til I got back.
Sorry... ~( 8^Þ)
Remember when Scott said how friends and family can cut into your quality internet time???
Pat'sRick:
Yes I do...and yes, it does.
Not that there's anything wrong with that...
JannyMae:
Ricky Martin is just one of those "15 minutes of fame" types, IMO.
OK, one e-mail, coming right up!
Disclaimer: The ONLY reason I know who Ricky Martin is, is that he sings the theme song (two versions, one English, one Latino) of the theme song in "Herculese" which I've seen at least 4,636,297 times.
He is a cutie-patootie!

All I know is that he's a singer; I didn't know what he sang, specifically...but thanks. (?)
GW reminds me vividly of Damien.
It all fits. :)))))))
