"I'll be back"...for my license!

California Govern[at]or Arnold Schwarzenegger has finally gotten a motorcycle license.

This was reported back in July in the foreign press, so I only just heard about it.

I posted something about him being involved in an accident on his Harley back in January, which by all accounts was not his fault.

Also, by California law he wasn't in violation because he had a sidecar.

Of course, he has been seen riding motorcycles in some of his movies without a sidecar, as in the picture above.

Anyway, less than six months later, he made good on his word...and now he's a legally licensed motorcycle operator.

I may not agree with (all of) his politics, but Arnie seems to be a man of his word.

We could use more like him...

I do like Ahnold. I just wish he'd move to the right.

And wear a blasted helmet!

You, too, Camo. Hate seeing brains splattered across the asphalt.

He seems to be turning into a regular old politician (and a liberal-leaning one at that). Wonder if he still smokes his stogies in a tent at the Gubernator's office?

he does indeed seem to be, at least, a man of his word. An addity in politics these days!

Benning is right about the helmet too....you talk about my smoking (rightly so..) but still...

I miss Arnold as the Action Hero... I am more than a little tired of the Action Hero being four feet tall in real life...

Ahnold is prob'ly as far to the right as one can be in CA and still get elected.

Anyway, I wear a (blasted) helmet, where it's mandated by law.

Beerme:
You'd think he could smoke in the designated areas, like everyone else...if there are any remaining in CA.

boberin:
I know how hard it is to quit smoking.

As for the helmet, where it's not mandated by law, I wear my cloth one.
(A.K.A. 'do rag)

Bob_inSpain:
You have friends on the left?!

I'm just kidding; I do too. Quite a few them, actually. We have other interests in common besides politics.

JR:
Arnold was a GREAT action hero, but he's getting up there in years.
(Kinda like a lot of us...)

Does one have to have a license to ride a cycle or drive a car in a movie? A lot of times they will have a kid driving a car,and no way does he have a license. And in one of the Terminator movies ,one of those guys drove a bus ,and I'll bet he didn't have a license for that, either.I think it was that melty guy though.

In theory you're supposed to have a license to do those things, regardless of whether you're in a movie or not. When they portray kids driving, they usually aren't really...they just make it look thataway.

That melty guy, huh? Heh. I don't think I've ever heard it described quite that way, but it's apt.

Maggie:
That's OK; it was definitely ON topic...

If you used boberin's old (work) @ddress, he got laid off. Since he's posted his home @ddress on "da 'Net" elsewhere already, he obviously won't mind you having it, so I'll email it to ya.

Oh yeah, and...ELEVENTEEN!!!

What you said about an unlicensed driver operating a motor vehicle on private property sounds about right.

As for the rules that the movie industry has to follow, they are legion...
