Arnold Schwarzenegger will always be considered the consummate Terminator, much the same as Sean Connery is regarded by many (myself included) as the quintessential James Bond.

Arnold is more interested in being Governor of California nowadays, although that wouldn't prevent him from making at least an appearance in any future Terminator films.
At present there are three planned, starting with the next one to be tentatively released in 2009.
I've always enjoyed the Terminator series, and what with the state-of-the-art in CGI FX, they should still be worth the price of admission.
I know that I'll be back, to see them...

The Terminator series was quite entertaining but, much of that was surely Ahnalds magnetism.
Will have to reserve judgment until the "new improved" version comes out because you never know, might still work!

Some of my fondest memories are of "quality time" with my daughter. "Terminator" days were always fun. We would watch Terminator 1 & 2 back-to-back. Did that a few times.
Then there was "Die Hard" days, and "007" days, and... well, you get the picture. My daughter and I both enjoy a great action flick!

While Ahnold was an important part of the phenomenon that was "Terminator" (BTW, did you know that traditional German bock beers end with the suffix "ator"?), they were well-written and inventive SF classics. I would really like to see more of them...

Reserving judgment is best; most sequels tend to suck, basically, but I've enjoyed the Terminator series so far. I am somewhat biased towards the Sci Fi genre, though.

Actually, what with comments diminishing, I had considered pulling the plug...but it's kind of likely to be my own fault to a degree, since I went 2½ months without posting anything new. Of course part of that time I was on vacation, and the rest of it was due to not liking the "new" blogspot.
That, and I've been working a LOT of OT.

Hopefully they'll manage to put Ah-nold in there somewhere, but you're right, it just won't be the same without him.
