Bare bones...

The Confederate Motor Company, located in Birmingham, (Alabama, that is) has some interesting motorcycles.

I was reading about the "Renovatio", which is as the title above suggests, a "bare bones" machine.

From the company's website:
"The machine is minimal; using the fewest pieces, moving parts and systems..."

I'll say; there's no actual frame...everything is attached directly to the engine.

I'd like to take one for a ride sometime...

It looks like something The Boy would build with his Bionicles parts.

The seat looks incredibly uncomfortable (not to mention leaving your nether regions hanging in the wind), and where's the handlebars?

Maybe it's a 'starter kit' and then you add accessories (like handlebars) as you like. :o)

Guess you have to pay extra for a license plate mount... hehehe...

The seat looks "ergonomic" to me, like the one on my bicycle.

The handlebars are there, though...look again.

JR:
It's a "work in progress", although I guess a license plate could hang from the back of the seat...

Well, I wouldn't want to ride it long distances, like I did recently on my Harley between Christmas and New Year...

Well, it's definitely different at any rate...and it's also American made.

I agree it looks uncomfortable but very cool! I just came from the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, I have to post some pics on the blog. There were some really neat cars there!
